Reality TV really?

I have been stewing for awhile now about something my dd said to me when we were visiting last month. She was watching "The Bachelor" and I was giving her some flack about the show and how it's nothing more than legalized prostitution as her dad puts it. She gave some back that it's reality tv and not like some of the shows I watch. Well, my cop, doctor and other dramas are as far as I see it are "REALity tv". There are some that are based on actual events and they hire consultants so they can follow procedure correctly. People going around and stabbing each other in the back to be the one the other person will choose as a lifemate does not constitute as being "real" maybe in someone else's sick world. Spending the night with someone to see if they are compatible in bed does not make one sure that it's Love. For one it may be, but for the other it's a one night stand.
A friend of mine just the other night called me and asked me for some advice and wanted to know how did I know that Mark was the one. Well I just knew. We are soulmates, kindred spirits, my ying to my yang. My BFF. Sure we have disagreements but what couple doesn't? I thought about this again when I was watching a movie and the girl who was supposed to get married, the day before the wedding asked her parents the same thing my friend asked me, how do you know when someone is the right one? YOU just know. Not, millions of people watching you parade yourself in scimpy clothes and listening in to your uttermost secrets. This last guy Brad, I found out in from our newspaper was stopped by our local police and under another alias He was on this show before and did not find his "soulmate" then either. No thanks, I'll take my cop, doctor dramas thank you.
