Do you see this hideous creature? There are thousands of these in my neighborhood! They chirp all day and all night. Even with all the windows and doors closed they are driving us nuts! I need to research their life expectancy so I can mark the day on my calendar. They're big, ugly and noisy. I don't see what use they can be.
Check this out. Yesterday we came across this lovely creature on our back porch. That's my son's hand used for reference to the size of this bugger.
