BFF

My husband and son are concerned for me because just yesterday Mark told me that he was concerned that when he's gone I'll have no one for company. Au contraire, butt hair. I have 3 BFFs. Me, Myself & I. I likes to be alone. I enjoys watching TV and searching the internet. I does crafts. Mark worries about Me too much also. I told him that when he's gone he won't be aware of what I do(es). Myself, well has spent enough time by well.... myself is happy with "herself". Really. So guys, I've spent enough time with myself that I thinks I will be alright.

Summer has come and gone! :0(

What I mean is that our grandbaby Summer came and went. It was great seeing our little extended family again. Technology has enabled us to keep in touch frequently via webcam and Skype. It made their stay better I think because we didn't deal with Summer not recognizing or warming up to us any.

Anyhow we had a great time with her and her Mom and Dad even had an overnite stay away and some very special Mommy and Daddy time alone. Grandma kept her up too late that evening and plumb tuckered her out. One day she even helped with chores around the house.
But it wasn't all work and no play, here she is cooling off in grandpa's and grandma's new pool. Mom and Dad were allowed in also even though they didn't lift a finger humrpf! ;0) BTW that's her Aunt Juanita and cousin Avery in with them.

The trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to her Mom's favorite store Super Wal-mart and jinxsters as good luck would have it we ran into Great-grandma Barrios and Great-Aunt Anna!!
Here she is a the Luling Watermelon Festival in Luling, TX. It was HOT and muggy. But she still managed to keep a smile on her face and have a little fun.

Here we are for a little family get together and Summer on her own special chair.

No trip would be complete without Mom and Dad enjoying some good Texas Eats! Here we are at Magnolia Cafe featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on FN. No time to wait to put on the ol' feedbag so we sat outside. Keep the iced water coming plz!!!

Of Course, all good things have to come to an end and here we are at the airport for the trip home and I'm sure cooler weather in Menomonee Falls, WI. Grandma whipped up a friend to make the trip more fun with... a Sock Monkey.
Love you Guys!!!!!!

Like Father; Like Son

Some things are meant to be. Boys will be boys, yadda, yadda, yadda. A few months back, Mark was in the process of renovating our master bath. He had the flooring up and was walking on the cross-beams. Well his foot slipped and and fell through the ceiling down below but didn't fall all the way through. My sister-in-law was walking out the door at the exact time it happened and drywall & debris fell on her and a hammer narrowly missed her. WHEW!  Well today, he's renovating our guest bath upstairs (again) and this time our son falls through. Luckily he landed on this feet and has some minor skin scraping but no serious damages. I think he's in shock because he can't stop laughing about it. He narrowly missed landing on our small upright freezer. Which would have been a good thing now that I think about it because it would have broken his fall. I totally freaked out!! Falling wasn't the issue so much as to how hurt he could of been. I looked thru the hole and couldn't see him. Imagine my horror when Mark yells, Sylvia! Morgan's fallen through the floor/ceiling. Thank the Lord that he was OK. His parents must be living right. :0)
Plz keep them in your prayers that they don't kill themselves.
