OUCH!

So I had a ultrasound guided biopsy done this morning on my thyroid and boy do I NOT want to go through that again. Why does injecting the anesthetic hurt more than the procedure? Then at one point after doing my left side, he made another incision for the needle and so I get injected again with "pain anesthetic" and proceeded to make the small incision with the scalpel and I felt the incision so I let him know it was hurting and he gave me another injection of anesthetic which thankfully I didn't feeling as much. Whew! What a trauma. My neck was hurting from being subjected to being poked, prodded and being bent back for about 30 minutes but seemed forever. Towards the end I was getting very uncomfortable and getting the cold sweats like when you're under immense pain and the next step is passing out. I was praying the whole time for strength and to be over with. I usually am pretty tolerant of pain today was an exception. Hope everything will turn out for the best when I get the results next week!

Reality TV really?

I have been stewing for awhile now about something my dd said to me when we were visiting last month. She was watching "The Bachelor" and I was giving her some flack about the show and how it's nothing more than legalized prostitution as her dad puts it. She gave some back that it's reality tv and not like some of the shows I watch. Well, my cop, doctor and other dramas are as far as I see it are "REALity tv". There are some that are based on actual events and they hire consultants so they can follow procedure correctly. People going around and stabbing each other in the back to be the one the other person will choose as a lifemate does not constitute as being "real" maybe in someone else's sick world. Spending the night with someone to see if they are compatible in bed does not make one sure that it's Love. For one it may be, but for the other it's a one night stand.
A friend of mine just the other night called me and asked me for some advice and wanted to know how did I know that Mark was the one. Well I just knew. We are soulmates, kindred spirits, my ying to my yang. My BFF. Sure we have disagreements but what couple doesn't? I thought about this again when I was watching a movie and the girl who was supposed to get married, the day before the wedding asked her parents the same thing my friend asked me, how do you know when someone is the right one? YOU just know. Not, millions of people watching you parade yourself in scimpy clothes and listening in to your uttermost secrets. This last guy Brad, I found out in from our newspaper was stopped by our local police and under another alias He was on this show before and did not find his "soulmate" then either. No thanks, I'll take my cop, doctor dramas thank you.

Woe Is Me

I've lost my bff. My Itouch and I'm lost without it. Booohooohooo. I went to the grocery store with my neat lil' grocery list app and somehow between checking out and home, it went missing. It's my lifeline as my DH likes to put it. I had was even using it as a replacement for my roku remote. I paid good money for it also. My daughter in WI even had to go fetch it for me. Keep me in your prayers that it will be returned to it's rightful owner. I can only hope in humanity to be... well human and honest.

Hello!

Have you missed me? Oh well...:0( Anyhow I want to take a moment to introduce you to my "friend". Molly is 9 yrs. old and splotchy all over. Each time I see her outside playing she makes my day. This summer she was gone for 2 whole months and I thought maybe something had happened to her. To my relief is OK! Mark and I stopped briefly the other day to inquire of her and to take her picture. She's not really pretty but the first time I saw her she captured my heart having given us quite a scare when we saw her just laying in her driveway unresponsive but as we continued to watch she perked her head up and we knew she was OK.  Here's a pic of my Molly.:

EWWWWW!

YUK!

Mark found this lovely creature on our kitchen counter. At first because it was laying so still he thought that our neighbor's kids left it for him but then he looked at it again and it was moving. (chills). So naturally Mark wanted to keep it to show it to me. I would have been better off not seeing it. Yuk!!!!!!! HELP ME!
