Summer comes to TX

So our granddaughter Summer arrived in TX thursday late morning. Unfortunately, Summer can't handle the heat! Poor thing. Grandma doing her best to make her comfortable. Must be that thick Wisconsin blood and it's just April. :0(

Crash and Burn Ouch!

So my loving husband signs me up for motorcycle class and last nite was the first nite. No biggie, mostly classroom time. Saturday morning, well that was a different thing. Things were going good with me on a 125cc motorcycle. Got to know it pretty well, then it starts acting up. Something with the fuel or throttle, so they decided a needed a different bike. They put me on a bigger bike 250 cc. Now this thing is entirely different in foot lever positions and such. It was also a heavier bike for me to handle, May I add that I don't want to be there. Anyhow, things go awry and I wind up on the ground in a puddle and scared. They then put me on the original bike and it goes mechanically wrong. Back on the big cycle and crash and burn again. Bumps, bruises and scrapes later, I decide this isn't for me. Four wheels baby is the way to go. I'm Not a thrill seeker like some people.

I got a new calling in Church. I'm the Valiant 9 teacher. I have about 5 kids. 4 boys & 1 girl, Sarah. One of my boys has Asperger syndrome a form of Autism. It has been a challenge dealing with him and it's only been my second week. Main thing is to refocus during an incident. The other boys find it funny and confused at what sets him off. Yesterday Michael went off into one of his tirades just from someone sticking his tongue out at him. Hopefully I can get through the year. Keep you posted.

Summer's here!!

Mark and I are the very proud grandparents of Summer Joyce Callister. She made her appearance on Jan 2, 2009. We jetted (actually drove) off to Milwaukee to meet her but unfortunately weren't there for the actually delivery. She weighed at the whopping weight of 6 lb. 2 oz., Mom weighed in at 6 lb. 11 oz. She is our little peanut.

As you can tell I have a great love for Cats, especially my pookie "Kaz". I was there when he was born on Oct. 23, 2003 in Coast Guard housing in our laundry room in Cape May, NJ. He was so cute and still is at 19 lbs. :0)
